About

A teaching kitchen for women in midlife.

Not another recipe site. Not another health blog. A trusted place where women learn, cook, and thrive.

The Wellness Kitchen started with a question women kept asking: what am I actually supposed to eat now?

Somewhere after 40, the rules seem to change. Sleep gets lighter. Weight settles differently. The advice that worked at 30 stops working, and the internet answers with noise, restriction, supplements, fear, and a hundred contradictory headlines.

This kitchen was built as the opposite of that. A place where the science is read carefully and then explained in plain language. Where a lesson on the microbiome on Monday becomes a pot of lentil soup on Wednesday. Where nothing is off-limits and nothing is oversold.

The goal is not a perfect week of eating. It is a way of cooking and living that still works in ten years, and the confidence to know why it does.

Philosophy

How we teach.

Food first, always

Supplements are a footnote. The plate does the heavy lifting, protein, fiber, healthy fats, colorful plants, and enough flavor that you want it again tomorrow.

Evidence, not trends

If the research is strong, we say so. If it's early, we say that too. No fear marketing, no miracle ingredients, no 'this one food'.

Teach the why

A recipe feeds you once. Understanding why fiber matters at 52 changes how you shop for the next thirty years.

Simple wins

The plan you can repeat on a Tuesday beats the perfect plan you abandon in a week.

Mission

To empower women to take control of their health by teaching them how food, movement, and lifestyle work together to support gut health, hormone health, menopause, and healthy aging.

Vision

To become the most trusted educational wellness kitchen for women in midlife.

Credentials & standards

  • Evidence-informed

Guidance drawn from peer-reviewed nutrition and healthy aging research, updated as the science moves.

  • Practically tested

Every recipe is cooked in a home kitchen with ordinary equipment and grocery-store ingredients.

  • Educational, not clinical

Teaching, not diagnosing. Always paired with the reminder to work with your own clinician.
